Cathedral Ledge is located in North Conway and as you can see, provides an overlook to most of Mount Washington Valley. From the village of North Conway, this is only about a five minute drive. The “hike” to the overlook is maybe 50 yards at the most. This has got to be the best pay-off for such a short walk. There is even a live web-cam: http://www.neclimbs.com/index.php?PageName=webcam provided by NE Climbs, for climbers to check conditions before heading up. I have been at the top of this ledge when out of no where, a climber pops thier head over the edge to make his/her summit…this will definatly freak you out when it happens. Make sure not to throw anything over the edge for this reason!

Clue: it is located near one of the region’s many ski areas and has a directional name,
If you’re a fan of dramatic mountain views, the homes in the Jackson Highlands neighborhood never disappoint. Here’s a shot taken from a cell phone camera this morning. If it looks this good on a device this ill suited for photography, you can imagine how pretty it is in person. I never get tired of looking at Mt. Washington!

What is something worth? That is a big question that often gets confused with how much something costs. The cost and the value of an item can be the same but in most cases there is a difference and that is what constitutes its worth to you. This rule applies to large and small purchases, to goods and services and basic relationships. The value cannot be determined without you. You are the one who is ultimately going to gauge the value of this item or service and while you may agree with others about that value you will place emphasis on certain parts of it that another would not. What a week to be in Mount Washington Valley! Not only are we having gorgeous weather (it’s forecasted to remain like this for the rest of the week), it’s time for one of the most interesting agricultural and cultural traditions in New England: the Fryeburg Fair. (more…)
Facts, features and benefits are the basic blocks from which we build a sales presentation. These three things must be in every successful sales pitch whether it is for real estate, a new car or the latest version of the Flowbee. Without facts, features and benefits you cannot properly convey the importance of owning a
machine that cuts your hair and vacuums your scalp in one easy step. How the ancient Greeks ever got civilization off the temple steps and onto to fast track without it is beyond me. When you start to think about the occurrences in your everyday life you realize that this simple selling principle is employed more often than the infommercial by Ron Popeil. (more…)
Today’s photo is of the North Conway Country Club golf course. This par 71 course was built in 1895, is open to the public and has arguably the best views of any course in New Hampshire.
The above pics are taken from the deck of the Ledgeview Grille, located on the second story of the club house overlooking the Moat Mountains and Conway Scenic Rail Line. The Grille serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and has a full bar for the post match. What a great spot to go over the days birdies and bogeys. The double and triple bogeys…this is also a great spot to forget about any troubles you may have had out there!
The club house has a fully equipped pro shop including rental clubs in case you left yours at home. Show up early for your tee time and take advantage of the natural grass driving range complete with chipping and putting greens.
I lived on the Big Island of Hawaii for over 4 years and played just about every course on the island. I can honestly say, that this is one of the prettiest courses I have ever played. For additional information, click on this link to check out their web site:
