The best way to find a view property
Real Estate buyers looking for that perfect house or parcel of land usually want to see mountains through their new home’s windows,
and often cruise Mt. Washington Valley looking for areas that offer mountain views. An effective approach, but usually involves time-consuming trips up and down Valley roads.
This winter maybe try the Reverse Spin. Take the lifts up ski areas Cranmore, Attitash Bear Peak and Black. From the top, the locations you can see can obviously see you, and thus have the potential of great mountain-view sites. Mark them on a map and check them out.
If it’s Mt. Washington you want to be able to see from your deck, the Reverse Spin’s a little more work. There’s no lift. You can of course make a winter climb (preferably after you’ve practiced on Everest). An easier approach: investigate winter trips up ‘the big one’ by Mt. Washington Observatory. A caution, you may need a little luck view-wise. Washington is in the clouds 60% of the time.
The top of Wildcat won’t show you much private land, as that ski area is located in the middle of the White Mountain National Forest. But you may never see a more awesome panorama of Mt. Washington’s peaks, shoulders and ravines – including the famed Tuckerman Ravine, site of the famous Inferno races.
The easiest approach? Drop by Pinkham’s office on North Conway’s Main Street or give us a call: 800-322-6921. Great view locations are a specialty.
