Skiing Cranmore or Attitash or Black? Maybe Bretton Woods? Wildcat? Whereever you ski Mother Nature gave us a snow blessing just in time for the winter vacation. About three inches of new powder on the ledge (Glen) last night. Hope you brought your long johns or knickers. Knickers. There’s a word. I once worked part-time for an inventory audit company with an Irish gentleman named John. Each night you got assigned to a different department to inventory stock. We would all ask each other what department you got assigned to inventory. John would always answer: ” Ah, they stuck me with them bleedin’ knickers again. Heavy brogue when saying that. Come to think of it, shouldn’t Wildcat have a ski in your knickers day? Cranmore needs to bring back the canoe races. How about the Polecats Ski Club build its ice bar on the back of a tractor trailer and go mountain to mountain? Save us the driving. You can have a beer on your way from Attitash to Cranmore. Speaking of ski clubs, I was at a Christmas party last week and lo and behold speaking with another guest she happened to be a former member of the Steinmeisters. I remember my days as a Steinie.
